While the event surrounding the lighting of the lake may be canceled for 2020, you can still explore the beautiful light display provided by the town of Carolina Beach.
The Lighting at the Lake officially begins the month-long Island of Lights Festival in Carolina & Kure Beaches. The Lake is located at the intersection of Atlanta Ave and Lake Park Blvd in Carolina Beach, NC. There is parking in the lot at the lake, a lot across the street from the lake, and on Lake Park Blvd where indicated.
The lake gets lit the night after Thanksgiving and continues through until Christmas.
THERE WILL NOT BE AN EVENT TO CELEBRATE THE LIGHTING OF THE LAKE, THE DISPLAYS AND TREE WILL STILL GO UP AT THE LAKE AND WILL BE LIT THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO TAKE A WALK AROUND THE LAKE AND ENJOY THE MANY LIGHT DISPLAYS
