This year’s Cape Fear Blues Festival features local, regional and national performers at the Main Stage Concert, an All-Day Blues Jam, a Blues Cruise, our Kick-Off Party, and Blues Workshops. This 3 day festival will be sure to get you into the blues’ state-of-mind! It starts Friday, July 27th and keeps going till Sunday, July 29th.
Friday: At The Soapbox in downtown Wilmington NC, 8pm: Li’l Ronnie and the Grand Dukes; Cape Fear Blues Cruise on the main deck of the Henrietta III, 5:30pm:Sweet Sue Savia; Elliott & the Untouchables; Randy McQuay II; and The Dynamic Therm-O-Tones. Post-Cruise Blues Party at the Rusty Nail, 9pm: Lawyers, Guns and Money.
Saturday: Free blues guitar workshop at Finklestein Music with Elliott New, 11am; Live blues at the Rusty Nail with The Rusted Rails, 1pm; Blues Concert at The Soapbox in downtown Wilmington NC: Li’l Ronnie and the Grand Dukes; 8pm; Live blues at the Rusty Nail with the Chickenhead Blues Band, 9pm.
Sunday: FREE All-day Blues Jam at the Rusty Nail, noon; Guitar Giveaway, 6pm; Jazz and Blues Jam with Benny Hill, 7pm.
