Mark your calendars for the 16th Annual Steve Haydu St. Patrick’s Day Lo Tide Run to be held Saturday, March 14th, 2020. The St. Patrick’s Day Lo Tide Run begins at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and features a 5K and a 10K race.
Come join the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in Carolina Beach. Come dressed in green as you run or walk at the beach to help people battling cancer.
The mission of the Lo Tide Run (an all-volunteer board) is to provide monetary assistance to New Hanover County residents who are battling cancer and struggling with financial obligations, and to empower the community to come together to support and honor local cancer warriors through a fun and inspiring 5K and 10K. The event also includes music, raffles, and food.
Teams are a big part of the fun at the Lo Tide Run. The Race is made up of teams made of 5 or more runners per team, teams will be scored by the top 5 racers on their team in the 5K for Top 3 Places, Top 3 team awards, Team Participation Award – Team Spirit Award – Costumes and Cheers.
To Register a Team: Each team member can register individually. When registering there is a Team Question asking to CREATE A TEAM or JOIN AN EXISITING TEAM. The first team member to register “Creates the Team”. All other team members simply select the “Join An Exisiting Team” option, and then find the team name in the team list.
Registration for the run begins at 7:00 AM, the 10K Run begins at 8:00 AM and the 5K Run begins at 8:30 AM. The Awards Ceremony held at the Gazebo Stage will be at 9:30 AM.
